Check out my new Music Video, Thank You" from my upcoming CD, "These Few Moments"
Has it really been almost a year and a half since I recorded the "These Few Moments" CD? Yikes! Finally, though, and just yesterday (May 20th, 2014), I sent off the 10 mastered tracks to be duplicated. I expect the new CDs to be delivered in just a few weeks - and hopefully available on iTunes, CDBaby, and Amazon, a few weeks after delivery. In the mean time, here's my first single from the CD, "Thank You." I hope you like it.
Finally Friday features Bob McCarroll in Tempe
The following text is an excerpt from a Mesa Performing Arts Examiner review/article by Jennifer Haaland, published March 23rd, 2014.
"...And at the cohesive center was Bob. His gentle jazz improvisations and Sinatra-like love songs enfolded the crowd into his element. "When it's my performing and recording, I don't really worry about making money. I just write it to get it out," he almost apologized, characterizing the motive behind his music..." (Read More...)

"I/we are so very lucky to have Bob as a regular...
at the Shakers Bar and Grill and Pho Cao open-mics. Every time he takes the stage he elevates the proceedings. I'm not worthy."
– Lewis Ray Cammarata (Performing Musician and Open Mic Host at Shakers and Pho Cao)
Get Bob's CDs on iTunes and CDBaby.
If you're looking for some easy-listening jazz with strong melodic themes then you should check out my CDs. The first two, "Secret Obsession" and "In Your Dreams," are instrumental-based tunes, the 3rd ("That Old Feeling") and 5th ("Now & Then") are 40s style vocal CDs with some memorable covers and 6 new originals - in the American Songbook tradition of song style. My 4th CD, "Songs For Low Light Conditions," is available for free downloading on the music page of this site. I hope you will enjoy listening to each and all of the songs.

Sound on Sound, the recording industries top magazine, reviews
Bob's latest CD, "Now & Then."
"Bob McCarroll’s album is the dream ticket for anyone running a restaurant in a well-populated tourist area. His swing jazz sound is literally so ‘nice’ I don’t think it could rock the boat any more than a mouse might if it were stowed away on the QE2. While the tracks are perfectly well recorded, and Bob’s vocals emulate the very best of Bublé-style swing jazz vocals, there just isn’t the energy that I’d like to hear in an album like this to take it to the next level. At times, I felt as if it had been recorded so quietly that at any moment you might hear the producer turning the page of a newspaper as he waited for the session to end..."
Thanks to Sound on Sound Magazine and Sarah Bowden for taking the time to review my latest CD,
"Now & Then." Thanks too, Sarah, for all of your nice comments and constructive guidance.
Bob Getting Heckled at Show (with video)
What do you do when you get heckled while you're working? Well, if you're lucky, a funny comeback line will come to mind and everybody will have a great laugh about it. Such was the case, as you'll see, in this video at one such recent show. All in good fun, mind you. | TO WATCH THE VIDEO CLICK HERE.
Sound On Sound magazine says That Old Feeling, "...is an undeniably enjoyable listen..."

"Who Cares" new music video
"Who Cares" from my just released CD, Now & Then. This original song features the talented guitar playing of Paul Lucas, the great Dwight Kilian on upright bass, the amazing Dom Moio on drums, and, of course, the wonderful vocals of Jodi Light singing a duet with me. The pics are (very) early and personal photos of my wife Janet and I. | PLAY VIDEO

Free download of 6 instrumental tunes
Each of the 6 instrumental tunes on this project (which you can download for free), were written and/or recorded over the past 10 years, but for various reasons never made it to a CD project. So, rather than let them whither away in the digital audio universe I thought I'd post them here as free downloads for you to listen to...and hopefully enjoy. DOWNLOAD FULL-LENGTH TUNES ON THE MUSIC PAGE.
